Why is picking the right surgeon for a hair transplant procedure so important?
Answer:
There are many, many surgeons who perform hair transplant procedures all across the United States and the world. Clearly, the work of each individual surgeon does differ a great deal in many cases. It is the job of the particular surgeon to make sure that the results of the procedure look totally natural and only compliment the patient’s existing facial features. While all doctors are likely well intentioned, their level of experience differs and the results that they may personally be able to achieve will differ greatly from another more experienced surgeon. A hair transplant procedure like any other cosmetic procedure is a surgery that will affect the way a patient looks for the rest of their life and it is important that they select a surgeon who has a significant amount of successful results in the past. It is important for the patient to ask the doctor about (1) their medical background, i.e. facial plastic surgeon, dermatologist, etc., and (2) for as many photographs as possible of past patients to see what kind of results they may be able to expect.
