Question:
The possibility of bruising on the forehead and around the eyes has been mentioned – how likely is that and how severe might it be ? I have a formal event a few days after the surgery I’m a little concerned about
Answer:
It’s not the bruising but rather the swelling- and if this occurs (as it does in about 1/3 of patients) it presents at 3 to 5 days. There are a variety of techniques I use to reduce the risk, but in general fair complexioned individuals are more at risk for swelling.
