The Wand is a computerized device that makes the administration of local anesthesia as comfortable as it possibly can be. The Wand administers a tiny bit of anesthesia even for the initial prick by the needle and then slowly administers the anesthesia very, very gradually in order to minimize any discomfort that is typically associated with local anesthesia.
