Question:
I had a hair transplant six months ago and I feel like I have been waiting forever for this new hair to grow in. I am finally seeing some new growth in the frontal region but it is very, very sparse. Should I be worried at this point or is there a chance that it will get fuller?
Answer:
The new hair should continue to grow and should continue to get fuller. I would wait at least nine months and even up to a year to make sure that I was getting the appropriate amount of growth. If after nine months to a year there is not some significant growth to the hair that was transplanted, you can assume that there probably is a problem and I would consider speaking to the surgeon on the matter.
