Question:
I am trying to decide between FUE and strip method. I know the main difference is scarring, but is there a significant difference in the recovery between the two?
Answer:
There is a slightly decreased period of time needed for the donor area to recover from FUE. The recovery for the grafts and the recipient areas are identical whether or not you are doing FUE or the strip procedure. There is also a little bit of additional tenderness in the sutured donor area when a strip procedure is done. Generally after FUE is performed there is very minimal tenderness in the donor area.
