Question:
How does one decide between different surgeons?
Answer:
Great question – one that is of critical importance.
Hair transplantation is a surgical procedure, where aesthetics play a critical role in determining naturalness. In no area is this role more visible, and therefore easily assessed through photos and real patients, than along the hairline. Looking at the surgeon’s actual results in hundreds of before and after photos, perhaps talking with and/or meeting actual patients, are steps that any prospective patient can expect to be able to do. Board certification is important. I know that many of my patients choose me as their surgeon because of my being a plastic surgeon, with almost 15 years of experience specializing in hair restoration. Finally, the doctor – patient relationship is one based on trust and professionalism.
