Question:
For people who go for a second hair transplant procedure, do you go right into the same donor spot as before or do you go around it? What would be the best way to get the “most” donor sites the second time around?
Answer:
For most second procedures, as long as the first donor area has been made in a reasonable position, I will remove the first donor site scar with the new strip, resulting in a single donor site scar. In addition, I will augment the grafts obtained by the strip with FUE grafts, obtained from the scalp in areas above and below the donor strip.
